Know whento leave.

Tell GoSEQ when you need to be there. It works backwards through the walk, live bus and any change, then tells you when to go — and when your stop is next.

Free. iPhone: add it to your home screen today. Android: in testing on Google Play.

On iPhone? Add GoSEQ to your home screen today: it opens like an app. The App Store version comes later.

Catching a bus takes a lot of working out. The timetable, the walk, whether it’s late, the rain, a text asking when you’ll be home.

GoSEQ works it all out. Your walking pace, live times, how late that route usually runs, and when you need to be there.

Then gives you one time to leave. And counts you down to it on your lock screen, so you’re not checking.

One less thing
on your mind.

Tell it once: school by 8:30. It works backwards through the walk and the bus, at your pace, and from then on it just tells you.

An example morning. The times are made up.

Real life runs late.
We’re onto it.

Live tracking and scheduled times stay clearly marked. When live tracking is available, GoSEQ uses it to keep your leave time in step with the bus. If it isn’t available yet, you’ll still see the timetable time and know it’s scheduled.

GoSEQ also learns how routes usually run at each hour and knows your walking pace, school holidays and public holidays. If your first option changes, it can show another bus and a backup.

Small details.
Better journeys.

Also in GoSEQ

  • Walks you to the stop. Turn by turn, with a buzz before each turn.
  • Chasing it! Running for it? Your countdown against the bus’s, and plan B if you miss it.
  • Mates and “I’m pulling up!” One tap tells your friends you’re two minutes away.
  • Family can watch you get there. A live link, no app or account needed.
  • Knows the school calendar. Skips weekends and holidays, picks the school bus.
  • Works without signal. Every bus, train, ferry and the G:link in SEQ, offline.

Questions.

How is it different from TransLink’s app or Google Maps?

They answer “when does the bus come?”. GoSEQ answers “when do I leave?”: it works back from when you need to be there, at your walking pace, with how late that route really runs, then counts you down. It also does the things around the trip: Chasing it!, Mates, school holidays, and a plan B when you miss it.

Is it official?

No. GoSEQ is an independent app made by E&D Collective in Brisbane. It uses TransLink’s open data but isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by TransLink or the Queensland Government.

Does it track me?

No. There are no ads and no trackers, and you can use it without an account. Your location is used on your phone to plan and guide trips; the privacy policy says exactly what’s stored if you make an account, and you can delete it all from Your data.

Is it really free?

Yes. Live times, planning, when to leave, walking directions, the map and Mates are free for good. GoSEQ Pro adds extras for A$2.99 a month, and every account can try it free for 14 days, once, with no card: on the web you start it when you like, and in the app it starts when you first sign in.

Can I use it on iPhone?

Yes, today. Open goseq.app/get in Safari and add GoSEQ to your home screen: it opens full screen, like an app. An App Store version comes later, and the launch email tells you the day it’s out. On Android you can try it on Google Play now.

Where does it work?

Everywhere TransLink runs: Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast, on buses, trains, ferries and the G:link.

I found a bug. Where do I tell you?

In the app, Me → Updates → “How’s this update?”, or post in the testers group, or email info@goseq.app.

From Brisbane.
For all of us.

I’m Isaac Erathnage. I’m building GoSEQ in Brisbane, and I catch these buses myself.

Knowing when the bus comes was never the problem. Knowing when to leave was. So I built the thing I wanted: one time to walk out the door, and a countdown to it.

It works on iPhone today from your home screen, it’s in testing on Google Play for Android, and it’ll be on Google Play and the App Store for everyone later. If you’ve got a question, or something on this page is wrong, message me below or email me.

Found something wrong? Post it in the group or email info@goseq.app, and please keep it installed for a couple of weeks: Google wants testers to stick around before GoSEQ can launch for everyone. Sending a friend? The link is goseq.app/android. On an iPhone, get the launch email instead.

Good days
start with Go.
